Conference about the Salon de la Rose+Croix:
Conference by Julian Moguillansky on the Salon de la Rose+Croix, founded in 1892 by Josephin Péladan, and on the origins of Symbolist Art in Belgium and France. Alexandre Séon, Fernand Khnopff, Jean Delville, Gustave Moreau, Carlos Schwabe, Georges Henri Rouault, Felicien Ropps, Erik Satie and Claude Debussy: their relations with Péladan. . What was its historical context and which ones were the reasons for its emergence in the late nineteenth century. The influence of the Salon de la Rosex+Croix in the early twentieth century avant-garde and its historical legacy.
